It’s hard enough to imagine winning a single Grammy. Harder still to imagine winning two in two consecutive years. And nearly unfathomable to imagine taking home two Grammys in one year. Well, we did it, winning the grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Song and Album with Mandisa’s “Overcomer.” It was the first Grammy win for both of Christopher’s co-writers, David Garcia and Ben Glover.

Fabmusic is on a roll. After receiving our first grammy for best Contemporary Gospel Album at the 55th Grammy’s last february, Christopher Stevens is nominated again, this time in two Categories, for the song “Overcomer” by Capitol CMG artist Mandisa, and for the album “Overcomer” in the Contemporary Gospel Album category. Christopher is taking his wife Nancy and four sons, Taylor, Carter, Cameron, and Zachary. The Grammy awards are Sunday January 26th in Los Angeles. Wish us luck!
We are excited about the two latest projects we have had the pleasure of being a big part of….Mandisa’s new studio album “Overcomer” and Newsboys “Restart,” both of which are slated for release in the very near future. Fabmusic’s Christopher Stevens and David Garcia produced 10 of the 11 tracks on Overcomer, and wrote the title track, which is climbing rapidly toward the #1 slot on Christian AC Radio. Stevens also produced 7 tracks on the Newsboys album and mixed the first single “Live With Abandon!”
More celebrating is certainly in order after recently receiving news that Christopher Stevens has landed his first Country single! Austin Webb’s “Slip On By,” written by Stevens and Blake Neesmith of Finding Favour, was released to Country Radio on August 5th, 2013. So far the single has received 25 adds and has received rave reviews from numerous Country music websites. Call your local country station and urge them to play this heartfelt song about not letting life’s precious moments “slip on by.” We are hoping for a number one! Gotta think big!
For the 4th or 5th straight year (we’ve kinda lost track), fabmusic producer Christopher Stevens is nominated (twice) for the miniature brass record player! Nominated in the “Contemporary Christian Album” category for tobyMac’s “Eye On It,” and Britt Nicole’s “Gold,” Stevens is hoping for a big win this year. He will be accompanied by his wife Nancy and his mom Vivian. We will find out on Feb 10th!
2012 is going out with a bang (no, not the end of the world…another GOLD record). Tobymac’s 4th solo record was recently RIAA certified GOLD! This is toby’s 4th consecutive gold record. Producer, Christopher Stevens, who has produced the last 3, was thrilled with his latest wall ornament. A nice Christmas gift!
Having recently received the exciting news of two Grammy nominations, Christopher Stevens has decided to attend his first ever Grammy Telecast in Los Angeles on February 13th, 2011, with his wife Nancy. Stevens produced Sanctus Real’s “Pieces Of A Real Heart” and tobymac’s “Tonight,” both of which are nominated in the category for Contemporary Gospel Album. Just another highlight in a string of exciting developments here at fabmusic. Stay tuned!
The news keeps getting more and more exciting around here as we celebrate the completion of yet another high profile project in the country/pop realm. Christopher Stevens has just finished co-producing a new songe for Blake Shelton on the album “Red River Blue.” The song is called “Hey!”
Congratulations to Christopher Stevens for his work on Carrie Underwood’s latest album, Play On. Stevens is credited three times in the latest album from the multi-platinum recording artist who got her start on American Idol! Stevens’ keyboard, arrangement, and programming talents can be heard all over Carrie’s first #1 single on the album, “Cowboy Casanova.”
Well folks, it’s almost old news now, but fabmusic’s own Christopher Stevens was recently honored along with 3 other BMI writers at the BMI Christian Music Awards in Nashville back in April! In addition, Stevens took home the award for song of the year for the tobyMac song “Lose My Soul” which Stevens wrote with fellow songwriter of the year, Toby McKeehan! Congrats to Chris and Toby!
We’re happy to announce that tobyMac’s Portable Sounds album has been RIAA Certified Gold. We’re super stoked cause we had this blank space on the wall that we didn’t know what to do with. Problem solved. Congratulations to Chris, Toby, and all involved!
